Acts 4

They raised their voice to God in one,

And cried, “O Lord, 'tis You,

Who made the earth, the sea, and skies,

And all that’s in them too.
By Spirit’s power, through David’s words,

You said, 'Why do they rage,
And plot in vain against the Lord,

The Christ, with fury's rage?'"

The kings of earth and rulers met,

Against the Lord to stand;
In this same city they conspired,

To do His will and plan.
For Herod, Pilate, Gentiles too,

And Israel did conspire,
Against Your holy servant, Lord,

To kindle wrath’s desire.

Now, Lord, take note of all their threats,

And grant Your servants bold;
That we may speak Your word with strength,

While You stretch forth Your hold.
Heal, Lord, and show Your mighty power,

Through Jesus' name, we pray,
That signs and wonders might be done

In Your great name today.
